Directional crystallization inductor (DCI) and zone melting inducer (ZMI) for a complex of onboard technical means is designed to create a rotating magnetic field in the course of experiments in the field of space materials science.
Magnetic DCI and ZMI creates a rotating magnetic field with a controlled amplitude value of the radial component of the magnetic induction in the center of the magnetic system, inducing currents in the melt of the material, causing the rotation of the material and mixing due to force interactions.
Magnetic inductors consist of a titanium case, a stranded magnetic core with three coils of high-temperature wire.
The ability to control the induction of the magnetic field in the DCI and ZMI at frequencies in the range from 25 to 200 Hz.
The maximum value of the radial component of the magnetic induction in the center of the magnetic system of the INC is 1 mT, IZP - 5 mT at a frequency of 200 Hz.
Temperature range up to 250 °С. The working medium is a vacuum.
The phase supply voltage on the windings of the inductors is 21 V.
